Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 24 October 2026. This is a strong commercial draft, not a substitute for legal review in the jurisdictions where DoneHalo operates.
1. Agreement
By using DoneHalo, creating or requesting a profile, submitting a service request, or purchasing a platform feature, you agree to these Terms and any applicable policies referenced in them.
2. Marketplace role
DoneHalo provides technology that helps customers discover and communicate with independent professionals and businesses. Unless DoneHalo expressly states otherwise in writing, listed providers are not employees, agents, partners or representatives of DoneHalo.
3. Verification
Applicants may be required to provide identity, credential, business or portfolio evidence. Verification standards may differ by category. DoneHalo may approve, reject, suspend, remove or re-review profiles if information is incomplete, misleading, expired, disputed or inconsistent with platform rules.
A verification badge means DoneHalo reviewed specified evidence at a point in time. It is not a warranty, insurance policy, guarantee of skill, guarantee of future conduct, or guarantee of any job outcome.
4. Documents before payment
DoneHalo’s intended onboarding process is verification review before any paid professional-profile activation. DoneHalo should not ask an applicant to pay a staff member personally. Any payment must be made through an official DoneHalo channel identified by the platform.
5. One-time professional profile fees
Approved applicants may be offered one-time profile plans such as Basic, Pro or Business after verification review. There is no monthly subscription under the current pricing model unless DoneHalo later introduces and clearly discloses an optional recurring service.
6. Refunds
- If no payment was made, no refund is due.
- If DoneHalo accepts payment for a profile activation but does not provide the purchased activation, the user may be entitled to a refund, subject to investigation and applicable law.
- Once an approved paid profile has been published or activated, the one-time activation fee is generally non-refundable if the professional later changes their mind, stops using DoneHalo, requests profile removal, changes business direction, or no longer wants the listing.
- Nothing in these Terms removes refund, consumer or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
7. Platform transaction or success fees
For eligible jobs that are booked and paid through DoneHalo, the platform may charge a disclosed success or transaction fee, such as 2%, before the user confirms payment. Different categories may use different commercial structures where law, professional rules or payment limitations require it.
8. Customer accounts and responsibility
DoneHalo may require customers to register, verify their email address and sign in before viewing protected professional contact details or sending profile-specific requests. Customers are responsible for keeping their account credentials secure and for activity carried out through their account.
Customers are responsible for reviewing a professional’s profile, scope, quote, qualifications, suitability and any additional checks relevant to the specific job. Customers should not rely solely on a platform badge for high-risk or regulated decisions.
9. Professional responsibility and profile control
Professionals must provide accurate information, maintain any required licences, perform work lawfully and competently, communicate honestly, respect customer safety and privacy, and comply with tax, professional and regulatory obligations applicable to them.
Public professional profiles are administered by DoneHalo. A professional account may be permitted to view its profile and incoming requests, but does not automatically have permission to edit public profile information, verification status, contact fields, photos, services or portfolio content. Changes may require review and action by DoneHalo administration.
10. No guaranteed leads, revenue or ranking
Paying for or receiving a DoneHalo profile does not guarantee customer enquiries, completed jobs, earnings, search ranking, visibility, conversion rate or business success.
11. Reviews and complaints
Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. DoneHalo may remove fraudulent, abusive or manipulated reviews and may investigate complaints or suspend profiles while a serious complaint is reviewed.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DoneHalo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses arising from dealings between customers and independent professionals, including lost profits, lost opportunity, property damage or service failure caused by a provider.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DoneHalo’s aggregate liability for claims directly arising from paid platform services is limited to the amount the claimant paid directly to DoneHalo for the relevant platform service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, and it does not protect DoneHalo from responsibility for its own fraud, wilful misconduct, or other liability that applicable law makes non-excludable. No clause can lawfully guarantee that a company “can never be sued.”
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, users agree to be responsible for losses or claims caused by their own unlawful conduct, fraud, infringement, misrepresentation or breach of these Terms.
14. Account and profile removal
Users may request profile removal. Removal does not erase records DoneHalo must retain for fraud prevention, dispute handling, accounting, legal compliance or security, and removal does not create a refund right where a paid profile was already activated.
15. Prohibited conduct
Users may not submit fake documents, impersonate another person, manipulate reviews, harass users, use the platform for unlawful services, bypass safety controls, attack the platform, scrape data unlawfully or misrepresent verification status.
16. Changes to the service
DoneHalo may improve, add, remove or modify features, categories, fees and policies. Material commercial changes should be disclosed before they apply to a new purchase or transaction.
17. Governing law and disputes
The final launch version should identify the legal entity, governing law, courts or arbitration/mediation process based on where DoneHalo is incorporated and where it operates. Those details should be inserted after legal review rather than guessed in this prototype.
